Manu Tukutuku

We went out of our school and when we were at the toitoi bushes  we said a karakia.  Tikana means why we do what we do and to also respect.  Then Miss Hills cut the toitoi then we took it to class.  When we got back to class we all had to measure how long our toitoi was.   Mine and Samia’s toitoi was 124cm long and we had to figure  out the maths behind it. The materials were:  Wool,  paper, Hot glue gun.  It was really hard to make it we had to use those things to to make the Manu Tukutuku.   When it was finished we were so proud of our piece of work and are one is not the real Manu but it is made out of real planets. Our one is just a new Manu made from hard work.   Manu means to work as a team and it also means a kite.

Me and my buddy Samia worked over 3 days to get this done for the matariki celebration.
